As of June 8, the entrances to the Marshfield Clinic Health System YMCA and 24-hour Fitness Center, along with the parking lot, are closed due to construction. The entrance has been temporarily relocated through April 2019 to the newly constructed Everett & Dolores Roehl Youth Center, off of N. Chestnut Avenue behind the Dental Clinic of Marshfield.

Member Services has also been moved to the Youth Center. The Fitness Center is still available and half of the gymnasium will serve the center as expansion continues. All other areas will remain open.

Phase 2 of construction will commence immediately on the new Healthy Living Center and Roehl Family Fieldhouse, part of a successful $10 million capital campaign to expand and renovate the YMCA. The demolition of the current Fitness Center will make way for the building of this Center.

“Everything is going really well,” said Rochelle Hill, Marketing and Development Director. “We’re really pleased everyone loves what they’ve seen so far.”

The new Youth Center will house YMCA child care services, Marshfield Alternative High School, Marshfield Clinic Youth Net program, and the Wood County Head Start program. A ribbon cutting will be held once work, including renovations, is completed next spring. Construction updates and more details on the project can be found at this link.
