Stratford Fire Departments Responds to a Structure Fire

OnFocus: On Saturday May 5, 2018 at approximately at approximately 1:30 am, the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office Communications Division received a report of a structure fire on Old Highway C, in the Township of Day. The caller advised the structure was fully engulfed in flames. The structure is a two-story, single family residence. After the initial call was received, it was learned that there was no one in the residence and the owners were currently out of town. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, but it is reported the fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature. The residence is considered a total loss.

The Stratford Fire Department was assisted at the scene by the McMillan, Spencer, Hewitt and Auburndale Fire Departments. The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office along with the Stratford Police Department also responded to the scene. Fire crews are still on the scene at this time.
