OnFocus – Roshan Lenora has been named Applications Development Manager at Security Health Plan of Wisconsin, Inc.

In his new position, Lenora oversees information systems data and web teams at Security Health Plan. His work includes programming for the Health Plan’s online portal for providers and My Security Health Plan, a free, secure online service that helps Security Health Plan members better manage their health care.

“It is important for Security Health Plan’s customers to have a good user experience when they are using our online portals,” Lenora said. “The Web development team develops and maintains these tools that provide an essential convenience and enable our members and providers to interact with Security Health Plan regularly.”

Lenora said the data team also develops and maintains the Health Plan’s data warehouse, which is used for reporting and auditing.

Lenora has more than 10 years’ experience in the health care industry, including time spent at Marshfield Clinic Information Systems. He has six years’ experience as a developer and four years as a development manager. Before joining Security Health Plan he worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona. Lenora said he has had the opportunity to work with hospital systems and health plans as a consultant in the past.

Security Health Plan Director of Information Technology (IT) Development Nick Berger said Lenora has already begun making a strong positive impact within the IT department at the Health Plan.

“We are very excited to have Roshan join Security Health Plan,” Berger said. “We are fortunate to have found an experienced IT leader with a background in both health insurance and health care … and he is willing to brave Wisconsin winters.”

A native of Sri Lanka, Lenora graduated from the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut, with a master’s degree in technology management.

Security Health Plan is a member of the Marshfield Clinic Health System, serving more than 230,000 residents in Wisconsin.
