MAPS Pet of the Week: Wally

Marshfield Area Pet Shelter Pet of the Week

Submitted by Vicki Reidel, Marshfield Area Pet Shelter Volunteer

My name is Wally. I was surrendered to the shelter because of unforeseen circumstances in my previous owner’s life. I am a very happy boy who loves to run, jump and play all day. I love squeaky toys and playing fetch. I also have a dog friend who comes to visit the shelter sometimes and I love chasing her around the yard. I am very good at sharing my toys, treats and food with others.

I walk pretty well on the leash but I do like to wander a little bit. I also like to jump up on people because I get very excited to see them and the volunteers at the shelter are working with me on this. I am told that I am very smart though and a very quick learner (especially when there are tasty treats involved). Even though I weigh in at 43 pounds, I am convinced I am a lap dog and should be in your lap whenever you are sitting down.
