View Account Information and Make Payments with App
Marshfield Utilities (MU) customers have more options to make payments and monitor their account 24/7 with an app.
“Customer demands and technology continue to change. It’s imperative to develop and offer tools like an app to meet these demands.” said Ross Larson, Office Supervisor. “After just finishing a new website, an app was the next logical step.”
The app, launched in February this year, and was developed by MU’s billing software provider with assistance of MU staff. “The timing matched perfectly with the new website launch,” said Larson. “An in-house team brought our customer’s needs (and ours) back to the developer. It was a very hands-on project.”
Customers can view their account information and payment options through the app. “Payment options remain a high priority to our customers, and the app opens up several payment options, like a one-time payment or creating a recurring plan to draw the payment automatically via ACH,” said Larson.
“The Mobile App customer may review their consumption, current balances, past dues balances and also review past statements and payment history,” he added. “It is a rather intuitive App and many of the screens are a one button operation.” Paperless billing statements and notifications are also available.
The launch of the app is a step forward for the utility to offer varied options for its customers. “Tying back to our Mission Statement, the 2018 initiatives, like our Mobile App, help us maintain our drive to be progressive and meet our Customer’s needs,” said Larson.
The Marshfield Utilities app can be downloaded through Apple Store or Google Play.
