RHINELANDER – Rhinelander won eight of the 10 events to roll to the team title at its home Hodag Girls Swimming Relays on Saturday at Rhinelander High School.
The Hodags finished with 132 points, with Wausau West second with 86 points. Marshfield took fourth out of the five teams in the field with 56 points.
Marshfield had one second-place finish and three third-place finishes.
The 400-yard medley relay team of Hope Risa, Kaitlin Alberts, Tara Kracht and Alyssa Franks finished second in 4:37.55 for the Tigers’ best finish.
Taking third for Marshfield were the 500 decrescendo relay team of Risa, Franks, Kracht and Alberts (5:24.20), the 3×50 mixer relay team of Kracht, Franks and Alberts (1:32.09), and the 800 freestyle relay team of Emily Hooperdietzel, Allie Bachool, Maggie Stangl and Mya Bohman (10:57.24).
Marshfield hosts Stevens Point in a Wisconsin Valley Conference dual meet Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
