John Nelson and Nelson-Jameson, Inc to Receive Honor
At the June 2 Mayor’s Dairyfest Breakfast, John Nelson and Nelson-Jameson will be awarded the 2017 Friend of Agriculture award.
A leading national supplier of products used in food processing plants, Nelson-Jameson believes strongly in helping to provide safe quality food from farm to table. Both John and the company focus on being an innovative partner to dairy farmers, milk haulers, co-op fieldmen, and to the cheese, dairy, and food processing plants not only in Wisconsin, but across the US.
Nelson-Jameson became involved with Dairyfest in 1987 when John Nelson became a MACCI Ambassador. For the past 20 years, Nelson-Jameson employees have helped serve the Mayor’s Breakfast. This year, they are also a mug sponsor.
“We have always been a agricultural-related business, and are happy and proud to be named the 2017 MACCI Friend of Agriculture,” said John Nelson, Chairman of the Board, and son of founder Earl Nelson.
“John Nelson has been a positive figure in the community for both his philanthropic
support, and his involvement in an array of causes and organizations,” said Melissa Pasciak, Event & Marketing Manager at Nelson-Jameson. “John is a generous advocate of the United Way, a former MACCI Ambassador and Transportation Committee member. He has served on the Marshfield City Plan Commission, the Economic Development Board, and was on the Industrial Park Authority for the City of Marshfield. John has also been on the local board of Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital, and both the local and regional boards of Associated Bank.”
