The project to resurface WIS 97 (Central Avenue), between Arnold Street and Harrison Street in Marshfield, has been rescheduled to take place in 2019, according to a representative from the Wisconsin DOT.
The project was scheduled for construction in 2018, but the bid to construct the project came in higher than anticipated.
According to the DOT, by rescheduling the project for bidding in late 2018 and construction in 2019, contractors will have better scheduling flexibility and the State anticipates more competitive bid pricing.
“This decision was made because it is important for us to deliver the project in the most cost-effective manner possible,” said the statement.
