Local Business Support Helps Marshfield FFA Succeed
With the school year underway, so continues the longstanding tradition of FFA in Central Wisconsin. With the support of local business, FFA has made a positive impact on many lives in the area and nationwide.
For many years, Chili Implement has been a significant supporter of the Marshfield FFA and Alumni. Not only do they donate to many fundraising events in the FFA and Alumni Chapter, they have been instrumental in advancing and promoting the member auction that is held at their banquet each spring.
Additionally, this locally-owned business provides FFA with items to be auctioned and prizes for individuals that contribute to the auction. They have also hosted safety day tours for the Marshfield FFA annual tractor safety class in the summer, and have partnered to provide a breakfast to their customers at their annual customer appreciation day.
“The Marshfield FFA and Alumni truly appreciate Chili Implement’s generosity and support they provide to students that have an interest in Agriculture,” said Mark Zee, Marshfield FFA Advisor. “The positive relationship with Chili Implement has provided many students the resources to pursue agriculture education in high school and be an active participant in the Marshfield FFA Chapter.”
For Chili Implement, the choice to support this community organization was easy.
“We feel it is important to get involved with the youth of our communities, especially if they are interested in the agricultural field,” said Josh Witt, general manager. “After all, these young adults are the future of our industry!”
Though there are many benefits to this partnership for both parties, Witt especially values helping students thrive.
“The most important benefit is seeing the youth of the area succeed in the fields they are interested in (agricultural or non-agricultural),” he said. “We also enjoy seeing how involved the alumni of FFA are and the many services they provide to the surrounding areas.”
Witt encourages everyone to consider helping FFA in any way they can – big or small.
“If you have the opportunity to support this great organization, don’t hesitate to do so!” he said.
