Call for Residents to Fill Utility Commission Vacancy

Commissioners Serve Five-Year Terms

The Municipal Code of the City of Marshfield provides that the five-member Utility Commission be elected by the Common Council. The Commissioners serve staggered five-year terms.

There is currently a vacancy on this Commission. Mayor Chris Meyer asks that any resident of the City of Marshfield interested in serving as a commissioner on the Utility Commission for a term beginning immediately and ending September 30, 2020, submit to the Office of the Mayor, in writing, a letter stating his/her qualifications and reasons for wanting to serve on the commission.

The names of the interested persons will be presented to the Common Council at the March 27th meeting. The Common Council will elect 1 person to the 5-member board at its April 10th meeting.

Letters can be mailed to the Mayor’s Office at 630 S. Central Ave, Suite 721 or e-mailed to amy.krogman@ci.marshfield.wi.us.  This letter must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 22nd.
