David Meyer of Meyer, Meyer and Associates Gets Inducted into Amerprise Hall of Fame
A local financial advisor has received a rare honor, reflecting a career of dedication and service.
Private Wealth Advisor David Meyer of Meyer, Meyer, & Associates was recently inducted into the Ameriprise Hall of Fame, a distinction less than two percent of Ameriprise Financial advisors have earned since its introduction in 1986. Only the highest achievers of the past year who have consistently high client satisfaction scores qualify for the lifetime achievement award, a total of 22 advisors in the past two years.
“Being a financial advisor is something I am very passionate about. I help clients everyday by getting to know them, their financial situation and the goals and dreams they hope to achieve. I then deliver comprehensive advice to help my clients achieve their goals and dreams,” said Meyer. His father, Herman, also was also inducted into the Ameriprise Hall of Fame.
Meyer is honored to have achieved this rare distinction, and credits years of hard work and dedication to clients not just from himself, but from the entire team at Meyer, Meyer & Associates.
“Our team dynamic allows me to focus most of my time doing what I love — meeting with clients on a regular basis to discuss their financial situation,” he said. “I am fortunate to work with a talented team and great clients and to have the ability to help improve the lives of those I work with.”
Meyer started his career about 25 years ago with his wife Tania after double majoring in finance and economics at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. During college, both worked for what is today Ameriprise Auto & Home Insurance – Meyer as a sales team leader and Tania as a customer service representative, a great experience for both.
He became a Certified Financial Planner in 1999 and achieved the APMA designation (Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor) in 2016. Today, Meyer continues his passion as a Private Wealth Advisor, a title awarded to those who have reached the highest levels of production and client satisfaction.
“We often have clients tell us they may not have been able to achieve their goals without us — how could there be a better feeling? That is what drives us in our business, knowing our help and guidance can positively impact other people’s lives,” he said.
His relationships with clients often cross multiple generations, an approach he and Tania enjoy.
“Tania and I are very proud of the relationships we have built with our clients and the community through the years, and we enjoy watching our clients achieve their financial goals and dreams,” said Meyer.
Though a high note in his career, the distinction certainly doesn’t spell the end for Meyer’s commitment to his work.
“I look forward to the opportunity to continue helping more people as my career continues,” he said. “The Hall of Fame is certainly not the end of my career — it’s just a goal along the way.”
